Welcome to Compass
Diversity
Our Mission
Compass Diversity supports individuals and organizations
to develop more inclusive and innovative solutions and opportunities
to marketing, strategic planning, and diversity related issues and
to foster diversity amongst individuals, staff, and volunteers to
bolster diversity in thinking so to lead towards a more competitive
edge and inclusive, productive environment.
Our Approach
We provide services to effectively address matters
relevant to the changing face of our community and workforce. They
can range from how to have a competitive edge for your organization
by effectively using the talents, knowledge, and abilities of a
diverse workforce and community, to diversity (including disability)
marketing and product innovation, to means to provide an inclusive
environment, and to one on one issues. Our services range from being
short-term activities such as speaking engagements, mini advice/support
sessions, and training to long term ones such as projects and ongoing
consultations.
What
We Do
The origins of Compass Diversity evolved from our years
of experience working for and with people with disabilities.
Compass Diversity helps organizations
meet the challenge to develop inclusive work and organizational
environments - ones that respects diversity.
As Compass Diversity comes from a diversity
and inclusiveness tact, our approach is infused with these perspectives
when working with you regarding non-profit development, management,
and support issues.
Our work is based on the beliefs that diversity:
-
Enriches communities
and workplaces
-
Enables environments
to adapt to change quickly and effectively
-
Heightens the quality
of marketing/communication effectiveness, creativity and innovation,
and problem solving abilities of working and community groups
-
Brings people together
for a common purpose. Where differences are celebrated and embraced
as being 'strengths and opportunities' for making the community
and workplaces successful, inclusive, and prosperous rather
than being seen as weaknesses and threats
